a training course on veneer working is planned in November 2009. In details, the training course namely “Working with veneer” will be organized from 26th to 28th November 2009 in the workshop of Dai Thanh Furniture JSC, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh province. 15 participants of the training are either management officers or workers from veneer working workshops in Binhdinh wood processing enterprises.
The training course aims at providing the selected learners with the knowledge and skills ncecessary when working with veneer. Specifically, the following major points will be covered:
- Veneer classification
- Requirements for veneer (thickness and moisture)
- Veneer drying and storing
- Veneering pressing methods and procedures
- Requirements for substrate (thickness and moisture error)
- Types of glue
- Veneer pressing stages
- Common defects during veneer pressing stages and solutions
- Sanding and final treatment of products from veneer.
