In collaboration with the partner associations of the Vietnamese-German Forestry Programme, HAWA and Vifores the component - ‘Processing, Trade and Marketing’ - assists Vietnamese enterprises in benefiting from this dynamic market. It creates the link between the sustainable production of forest products and the higher value added from processing and marketing. Forest products are one of the most important renewable raw materials. With the aim of promoting the sustainable production of these attractive and durable commodities we provide following support to Vietnamese wood processing enterprises: • Establishing a training network and technology transfer • Advising on timber grading, drying and quality control in the manufacturing process • Implementing middle management training and human resource development in companies • Restructuring of state-owned and private companies in the wood-processing industry • Improving information management and support for marketing on the regional and international level • Strengthening and support of wood processing associations • Integrating of the private sector through public private partnership (PPP) measures
