Seminar on Introduction of the training program at factories on furniture fittings & lighting system E-mail

To support enhancing the capacity of companies in the application of fittings, Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City (HAWA) partners with the German International Development Corporation (GIZ) and Häfele Vina to implement a Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project “Capacity building for small and medium sized wood processing enterprises (SME) in furniture construction and use of furniture fittings”.
A mobile training unit will be used to train workers and technicians directly at factory premises. To assist businesses in understanding this project, HAWA encourage its members to participate in a seminar on the 12th of March 2013 during VIFAFAIR. The cooperation partners Häfele, GIZ and HAWA cordially invite interested parties to attend this seminar, named:
“Introduction to the new Häfele Training Concept with a mobile training unit (Company In-house Training)”

Timber Auction 26th of December 2012 Certified FSC Controlled WoodTM in Dak To, Kon Tum E-mail

In 2012, Daktoplanco harvested 5929.3 m3 of round logs. Main harvested species include Cóc đá, Giổi, Thông nàng, Kháo, Gội nếp, Cáng Lò, Sữa, etc.... The Daktoplanco will organize timber auction for 564.229 m3 on 26th December 2012. In which the volume of more than 348.327 m3  of Cóc đá (Garruga pierrei) is included. Cóc đá is similar to Yellow Balau and known as excellent timber for outdoor furniture. Based on the approved sustainable management plan the supply of 4000 m3 of Coc Da yearly is for a long term period guaranteed.

Worksafety training couses sucessfully organized in Quy Nhon E-mail

In the frame work of cooperation between German Technical Cooperation GIZ and FPA Binh Dinh, experts from Component 2 – Processing, Trade and Marketing of Forest products take visits to two wood processing factories namely Tien Dat and Dai Thanh where it shows a lot of work safety problems such as safety guard, personal protective equipment, power, store and so on. Those visits help experts have clearer visualization of the real situation of wood processing factories in Qui Nhon and further focus the training content on the findings they have. Two trainings on Work safety have been organized in Quy Nhon.
